The Associacao Bamboo would like to say a special thank you to Anne Monroe who kindly raised €1500 for the Sanctuary. Anne raised the money for us from running in the 2009 Lisbon Marathon.

Some of the dogs from the sanctuary were able to join us on the walk and not only did they behave superbly they also thoroughly enjoyed it as you can see here.
On March the 21st, The Associacao Bamboo held its third 10km & 5km Charity walk. Starting in Figueira, the walk looped its way around breathtaking coastal trails and picturesque countryside paths.
With around 40 participants and a large number of pets, the day was a HUGE SUCCESS.
The walk raised 295€ in cash on the day, with further donations to still be collected.
Our thanks to the O Sapino Restaurant Bar for once again making us all feel very welcome and hosting the event for us.
By popular request we are now planning to hold the Charity walk twice a year and the next one we hope will be in September, we'll keep you posted
